The new Health Sciences Centre will replace the Health Building on campus. Health and social development programming on the Kelowna campus will be moved from the Health Building (and other sites on campus) to the new Health Sciences Centre, which will be an addition constructed adjacent to the Laboratory Building. The Laboratory building supports the programming for the Bachelor of Science and Nursing, university transfer science programs and engineering technology programs. Once the Health Sciences Centre is constructed adjacent to the Laboratory Building, this larger complex will then support the delivery of all of the campus’s science, health, social development, and engineering technology programming.
The project is pursuing LEED Gold Certification, the CAGBC Zero Carbon Pilot Program and the WELL Building Standard - Educational Facilities Pilot Program.
