The project is located in the City of Vernon on Pleasant Valley Road and meets the OCP designation having been recently rezoned to accommodate the density. The property is well suited for affordable housing. It is within walking distance to the downtown core, on a bus route, and close to schools, shopping, banks and public amenities such as City Hall, Service BC, Service Canada, the library, art gallery and recreation centre.
The mix of unit types targets seniors, individuals with a disability and families in need of affordable housing. The eight proposed units are ground oriented with individual entrances and are a combination of one and two storeys depending on unit size and type. The buildings will reflect a modern and unique identity respecting the established scale and massing of the neighborhood.
